Is Theuism a religion?
Not quite. It can be said that Theuism is a complement to existing religions, in that you can believe in other religions, and Theuism still works independent of that.
Is Theuism a cult?
Not really. Most cults have a significant number of members who meet in person every so often. Theuism does not. We have too low a membership base, even for a cult, and we never get together in significant numbers.
Is Theuism a secret society?
No. Theuism has no secrets, we post everything up and make our work, such as our Word of Man and our Sound of Life, available to anyone and everyone. We do not try to stay secret, and we have no secret rituals.
What is the meaning of life?
The meaning of life is to change the world for the better. Anyone can change the world, and everyone does change the world with every decision they make. Many people believe that one person cannot change the world, but this is not true. When a person makes a decision, this creates a ripple effect that eventually passes through the entire world.
Many people struggle to find the meaning of life, when it is sitting right under their nose all along. The meaning of life is to cause the greatest change possible with the minute amount of time you are given on this Earth. It is to make the most of it, to live for change. To increase the happiness of others is a great way to do so.
Anyone has the power to cause vast change to the entire planet. Anyone from the cashier making $9.00 per hour to the President of the United States can and does. If you live and breathe, it is impossible not to! It doesn’t matter who, what, where, when or how you are. The smallest of decisions made by the least of people do so.
Many people don’t think they can change the world. It’s upsetting that so many people don’t believe in the power they hold to affect great change, or just don’t even have knowledge of it. And many people will assert that they in fact cannot do anything to change the world. But they can, and they do every day of their lives.
Every decision a person makes creates ripple effects that pass through the entirety of space and time. Something as simple as saying “hello” to someone causes a person to react and respond, and it affects the timing and the decisions a person makes from then on. And from then on every person who that person interacts with is also affected, as well as the people they interact with, and the people they interact with… and it just keeps going on and on for as long as this world exists.
So I believe the meaning of life is to change the world as much as possible for as long as possible. Everyone has the power to do so, even if they don’t believe it. The world is in your hands.

What does being dead "feel like?"
Being dead is a lot like sleeping forever. If you have ever laid down in bed at 11:00PM, closed your eyes, and without dreaming, suddenly your alarm clock wakes you at 6:00AM, you have some knowledge of how death "feels". That feeling of time and consciousness not existing, how you felt during that time in between, is how it "feels" to be dead. You basically fall asleep, and you don't wake up, ever again.
Do you believe in God?
I get asked this often. While I don't usually speak on what I believe, I will speak about what can be observed. From what I understand about life, the universe and science, I can say that there are pretty good odds that a God exists. This is simply because from what scientists can observe and test, we as a species still can't understand why the universe works the way it does. There is just so much we don't know or understand yet.
We can test things like the strength of gravity, matter and electromagnetism, however scientists are baffled as to why the calculations work the way they do. Plus, the space around us is filled with what scientists call "dark matter," a presence that cannot be directly observed. We have no idea what the dark matter is, just that it makes up 90% of what's around us and we can't see it. Sounds like God to me.
Moreover, it is quite obvious from what we can observe that it's no accident that we're here, something outside our current understanding had some sort of role in making life work. If any of the previously mentioned calculations (gravity, matter, electromagnetism) did not work precisely the way they do, even off by just a few percentage points, life could not exist. And the theory of evolution? Think about the way vision works. Even the simplest of eyes would require just the right sensory cells, a brain capable of interpreting the sense, and some sort of nerve connecting the two. How could this have just evolved?
So I'm not saying whether I believe in God or not, I'm just saying don't close your mind off to the possibility. There is much more to the universe than what can be seen.
